MEET SCHEDULE
HOTEL INFORMATION
Discounted rates for GWI participants are available at these hotels.
DIRECTIONS
Folsom High School is located on the east side of Sacramento off of Highway 50. Exit off of Highway 50 on Prairie City Road. Stadium is located on the north side of the Highway.
PARKING AT THE TRACK
Parking is free. Enter off of Prairie City Road
FACILITY
The 10 lane state-of-the-art track at Folsom High School is considered one of the finest high school stadiums in the country. Only ¼" spikes or racing flats are acceptable.
PACKET PICKUP
- Packet Pickup will be at the Track on meet day only.
- Saturday June 12 - Packet pickup opens at 1 pm.
- Entering the event is by ONLINE ONLY.
- Deadline to enter is Sunday, June 6, 2010 by 11:59 p.m.
- The entry form is processed electronically and you will be automatically cleared for packet pickup.
- Print out the electronic receipt and bring it with you to packet pickup.
- Each athlete receives one admission ticket for an accompanying coach or adult.
- Additional tickets may be purchased online, at packet pickup on Saturday, or at the gate during the competition hours.
ADMISSION TO THE TRACK
- Athletes - Admission is via the competition number. COMPETITOR NUMBERS ARE TO BE WORN ON THE FRONT ONLY with the exception of the pole-vault. Competition numbers will be distributed at packet pickup.
- Coaches - Enter through athlete gate or normal admission gate and show admission ticket. All others must purchase admission tickets.
- Tickets
- Advance tickets may be purchased ONLINE until June 11: $5.00 each for adults; $2.50 each for students.
- Meet day prices are $10.00 each for adults and $5 each for students.
- Children under 18 have FREE admission.
- Each athlete will receive one pass ONLY. Please do not request more.
WARM UP DURING MEET
Athletes may warm up on the field inside the stadium located on the northeast side of the stadium, on the field outside the stadium located north of the stadium or on the cross country course located on the east side of the stadium. Athletes should check in one hour prior to their events. Scratch time is 15 minutes prior to the event.
TRACK INFORMATION
- Seeding will be done as follows: 6-5-7-4-8-3-9-2-10-1
- There will be "B" sections of the 100 Hurdles and 110 Hurdles and boys' 200 m. Top place winners of the "B" section will be allowed to compete in the evening section.
FIELD EVENT INFORMATION
Javelin Details
All implements must meet the specifications defined in the USATF rule book. The USATF javelin must have a "sharp metal head." You can review all of the rules at usatf.org rules.
Implement Inspection
All implements for competition must meet USATF Rules and must be submitted for inspection at the Folsom High School facility on the day of the competition beginning at noon.
Sectors
A 34.92 degree sector will be used for the shot put, discus, javelin and hammer.

Performance lists will be posted online Thursday.
AWARDS
- Gold, Silver and Bronze medals will be awarded to the first three places in each event. Results of A, B, and C sections will be combined to determine the top 3 Medallists.
- All athletes will receive adidas Golden West Meet t-shirts and adidas bags.
